Tim Appleton

Tim Appleton has had a life time working in Nature Conservation, managing and creating UK’s most important inland reserve; Rutland Water. Now a Ramsar site and Special Protection Area.

Was responsible for bringing breeding Ospreys back to England after absence of 150 years.

Co-founder of the world’s largest Wildlife Event, Birdfair. Travels widely lecturing on Eco tourism and other wildlife subjects, organises  successful ‘ fam ‘ trips for journalists and specialist tour operators to key countries offering Eco tourism opportunities.

Tim has had a number of awards including Member of the British Empire (MBE), Christopher Cadbury medal ,  Honouree degree Master of Science, Honouree Life Member of Aves Argentina, Vice President of the British Ornithological Union.
